Pondicherry or Puducherry (also known as Pondy) is one of the most charming and fascinating tourist places in South India. French people lived here before independence. So, you can experience French culture here. The French culture and Indian culture can be enjoyed with the perfect balance.
Tourists will cherish the French culture alongside Indian culture. Pondy is well-known for the Liquors at a very cheap price in whole India and also a tax-free union territory of India.

One can easily take a rental car, bike, or even scooty to roam around Pondicherry.

Best Places To Visit In Pondicherry:
It is an experimental township located in Tamil Nadu. Some parts of Auroville is also in Pondicherry. The reason behind to establish Auroville is to perceive human unity. The Matri Mandir (the golden dome) located there which means the “temple of the mother” requires advance bookings for entry.
You can’t go inside the temple without booking. My personal experience just do advance booking before you visit Matri Mandir. There’s so much to explore in this experimental town.

Waking up all night until I wouldn’t capture the glorious sunrise, the most common thing for me when I am at the edge of the sea.

Rock Beach is also known as “Pondicherry Beach” or “Promenade Beach”. The best place to walk alongside the beautiful rocks on the beach. I suggest you visit Rock Beach after 6:30 pm when the road is closed to vehicular traffic.
It was the time when I was living in Chennai. I also used to go to the beaches when I feel lethargic or low.
Beaches always make me feel alive. If you think the photos can do justice to the natural beauty that catches my eye, then you are wrong my dear.
Sitting on the rocks over the beach, when the water touches your feet, one feels a damn fabulous feeling. Le Café is the perfect place to eat near the beach. In front of the beach is the statue of Mahatma Gandhi, the inspiring Joan of Arc’s statue, the ancient heritage town hall, Joseph François Dupleix’s statue, and the old lighthouse.
The scent and sound of the waves coming from the sea add a special burn to the rocks and enhance the fragrance of the night air.
