Traveling has always been an escape from the monotony of life. This year turned out to be a plain put-off, there was one moment where summer vacation was being planned and, boom! In other moments we are all locked. Life then came to a standstill. Almost all of us are waiting for the series of lockdowns to stay a put and distress lives.

Traveling post lockdown won’t be the same. But, that doesn’t stop us from going out.  Certain measures should be followed to keep one safe and enjoy the duration. With all the economic slash, we could vouch out to holidaying within the country. Besides the economy, international travel would take longer to reopen, due to other countries imposing travel restrictions.

Here are some safe places to travel in India after covid-19 lockdown that could turn out a treat to the eyes:

1. Andaman and Havelock Island:

Yes, you have read this right! The islands of Andaman and Nicobar are in the Indian Subcontinent, an Indian archipelago with the Bay of Bengal. With secluded beaches and valleys to stay by, the island could turn out to be a safe place. Since it’s an Indian UT, you don’t need a passport, with valid Identity proof you are a good go-to.

2. Daman and Diu:

Daman being the coastal town in the west holds the tradition and history of 16th century Portuguese, Diu, on the other hand, is an island that floats on the Arabian Sea.  More often than not it’s underrated to visit this place.

4. Himachal Pradesh:

Surrounded by mountain towns, this place could turn out to be the most peaceful.  Besides the mountains, the beautiful valley, and colonial structures, Himachal has a handful of places that reveals the beauty of Northern India in a very significant way. With Shimla, Manali, Dharamshala, and Dalhousie, this trip will be a whole package.

5. Hampi:

Hampi would otherwise be known as Hippie Island. It marks a lot of bohemians every year from around the world. This little sight unlocks a lot about the Vijayanagar kingdom of King Krishnadevaraya.  About 350 Km from Bangalore, Hampi lies towards the north of Karnataka and is about a 6 hours journey from goa. A place that doesn’t burn pockets essentially and would be a treat to the eyes.

6. Leh-Ladakh:

Although pronounced together, LEH and LADAKH are two different places. Ladakh is one of the towns of the Indian Territory and Leh being its capital, both together form an astounding travel package.  This time of the year could turn out to be a good time to visit this place and explore the snow-covered mountains of the Himalayan counterparts. It is suggested that anytime between mid-September to October is a thumbs up for a trip around this beautiful mountain valley.
